Deserter Font Family – working title

Initial idea

Inspired by the design, purpose, and especially the abundance of monospaced typefaces—which seem to be far more numerous than the actual demand for them—I started wondering whether it would be possible to create a modern, minimalist sans serif with subtle display characteristics that is neither monospaced nor primarily intended for coding or other IT-related workflows.

Instead of being designed for displaying source code or merely imitating the visual effect of monospaced fonts, the goal is to create a typeface that conveys a distinctly digital, technology-oriented aesthetic while remaining highly versatile. It is intended primarily for branding, visual identities, and other design applications within the IT industry.

So far, I have designed several uppercase and lowercase letters in the Light weight, which will be the thinnest style in the planned weight range.
