Case Study

Juneau Deco
Custom Typeface

Juneau Deco is custom typeface designed for USA-based client Stalwart Group LLC. We were retained to create a complete font set based on 14 letters of public domain signage at the entrance of the Dodge County Administration building in Juneau, Wisconsin, USA (completed/dedicated in 1937).

The letters on the 1937 signage were made in Art Deco style. Our challenge was to design the rest of letters, numbers and other characters in the same style and complete the font set with basic Latin character map keeping true to the form of the letters from the 1937 signage.

The client was very pleased our work and invited us to share the result with others.

Juneau Deco is free for personal and commercial use with attribution. You can download Juneau Deco in two versions different in spacing:

• Juneau Deco – OTF, WOFF, WOFF2
• Juneau Deco Relaxed – OTF, WOFF, WOFF2

The author of original letters of public domain signage on the Dodge County Administration building in Juneau, Wisconsin, USA is unknown.
