Le lendemain, la caravane, continuant sa route, arriva à Springhill. De là, Nordenskjöld et Backhausen entreprirent une nouvelle excursion à la recherche de squelettes d'Indiens. Dans cette course, ils traversèrent le relief désigné sur la carte sous le nom de Serranias del Norte. Or, sur cet emplacement n'existent ni collines, ni monticules; simplement une plaine infinie, haute d'environ 200 mètres.
Those were wonderful days for babies like Stephanie who had seen too little luck in their lives. Breakfast at half past six; a luncheon of fruit and milk at nine; dinner at eleven, and supper at four. All the bread and butter a child could eat; all the milk she wished to drink.
